Where Can I Get A TalkBox?

Autotune seems to be the easy way out these days! A time before autotune was invented, there was the infamous talkbox! They're both unique in their own way. But today's society is just abusing the mess out of autotune. "Gosh!" *Napoleon Dynamite voice* lol. #ImJustSaying

Before T-Pain, there was Roger Troutman! Before Roger Troutman, there was Stevie Wonder! Before Stevie Wonder...um, Idk. I didn't research that far. lol. But I'm saying all of this to say...thanks to people like Stevie Wonder, Roger Troutman (Zapp & Roger), Teddy Riley, Ryan Leslie... for giving me an idea over the years of how unique an actual talkbox is. I've been thinking about getting one. #seriously. lol. It seems fun. And plus...they say it works well with a guitar. I'll see about that.





Last note: T-Pain doesn't use a talkbox...obviously he lives for autotune. But since he made autotune huge-r than huge in the 2g's. I felt the need to throw his name in above.
Last Last Note: FYI: Stevie Wonder is still a beast on the talkbox as if he's still in the 1970's on Soul Train. lol. (Yeah, I saw that re-run.)

Happy/Peaceful Dr. Martin Luther King Day

My flashback to yesterday evening:
A conversation between Jay (5 year cousin) & myself

Me: Do you know who Dr. Martin Luther King is?
Jay: Yes!
Me: Could you tell me something about him?
Jay: I know that he was a civil rights leader.
Me: What else...?
Jay: Umm (smile)...he won an award.?!
Me: Are you talking about the Nobel Peace Prize?
Jay: Yes!
(Behind our Dr. King conversation, we began to talk about Rosa Parks & why she chose to do what she had done...) *Sidenote*-I was kinda grilling him. But it seemed like he wasn't sweating all my questions I was shooting at him. Because, he kept giving me straight answers with the "I wish she would shut up" look. lol.

I was fairly impress with our conversation. This kid knows alot. He would have went all night talking to me...if it wasn't for the bright cartoons that stole his attention. lol. I thought the way he spoke about the civil rights leaders was kinda cool. I'll be shooting the "What do you want to be when you grow up?" question really soon...lol.

Anyways...

Dear my generation,
It is on us (our generation) to read books, do the research, ask questions or maybe even read biographies on people who may have paved the way for us to be able to do the many things that we can do or may be taking for granted today in 2010. Those inspiration may help us to make the next step for change for the better of our society. Because of those inspirations, we to have to evolve at many points in our lives. And show that we can too be great & continue what has been started for us by great leaders.

Nah, not Drake! Obviously, he was so inspired enough by Aaliyah's music to have used her classic line for his part on "Bedrock". Remember? Are You That Somebody?!.
#Note...One of the greatest songs ever.

Years have passed since the tragic dead of one of the greatest artists ever. Aaliyah was definitely a great singer & a loveable person. She has left us with the most timeless & greatest music that will forever be with us. Aaliyah has always been a huge inspiration to me. And, I'm truly thankful for that. As most people may know, this past weekend was Aaliyah's birthday as she would have turned 31 years old.
With that being said...
HAPPY BIRTHDAY AALIYAH!

Rachel McAdams + Vogue

If you know me or have some sort of interest in my likes then you should know that I'm a huge fan of Rachel McAdams. She's a very talented young actress who has been taking over films for the last few years. And I've come to love some of her films dearly enough to be make them my all-time favorites.
The Notebook + Mean Girls, etc...! 
Did I say my favorites:)! 
In 2010, Rachel is gracing the cover of one of my favorite magazines. Can I just say that if you're ever given a chance to grace a cover of Vogue. Take It! That's a sign of something huge. And not just any person will get that opportunity.

Containing over 70 minutes of performace footage and audio from his VH1 Storyteller special and more!
Some or not many people may know...but I'm extremely excited right about now! I've was just as much excited when parts of this special was first shown on VH1 in early '09. I was in front of the television like a kid watching a cartoon. And if ya'll only knew how much of an inspiration this man is to me. *sigh* It would take me all day and night to explain. Anyways, I felt the need to say all of this through a post.
Which I'll probably say it again tomorrow as well:)!

HAPPY NEW YEARS!!!
This is my first post of 2010!!!
And I'm excited to announce that this is
the official year of EVOLUTION!

Currently, change is very much needed in my life, society, and the world, for that matter. I know that I and maybe even you could've picked any time during 2009 to change things but...now that things are drastically changing for the better in 2010...
I actually have a good feeling about things.
I can say that 2009 started off bad and
2010 feels a lot better & different. Yayyy!!!

Special Announcement!!!

We are less than 2 months away from the celebration of
my blog, CreativeLifeWorks.Blogspot.com's 1st birthday. That'll be big yo. Yes, it all started on March 1, 2009. I can't wait for the 1 year bday to approach. I've worked hard to keep it going. And I won't stop until the world is satisfied...really until I'm satisfied. lol. On the blog's bday, I'll be happy about something else as well! I won't speak on what it is as of yet.
Let's just say...

And, maybe there'll even be some other exciting things in store for 2010 that even you might be excited about.

What will you be seeing next from my blog?
In 2009, I went in a great deal when it came to mainly
FASHION & MUSIC (which are both my favorite things ever).
I'll still be going in that direction. But I'll be taking a kinda/sorta left approach to things. (Yes, I'm left handed.) lol. But what I'm saying is that I'll be really going in on the very most creative & different things that others sometimes aren't bringing to our world. This time around, it's going to be a bit of the same but different. Hopefully, you'll still find things entertaining, you'll can learn something new, and even get some type of realness feeling from what I will continue to bring to the world.

What would life be if it stood the same?
