The Coldest Winter Ever x Some Sour Patch Kids

11:25:00 PM KB 5 Comments

(Random post x things) I'm pleased to have recently picked up 4 things that will hopefully give me some type of enjoyment or entertainment or inspiration.

1.) "The Coldest Winter Ever" by Sister Souljah
On everybody's favorite book list these days, there is this book's name. I'm still trying to figure out why I haven't read it yet. But I'm very curious to find out what's to love about it.
2.) "Enchantment: The Life of Audrey Hepburn" by Donald Spoto
I just thought it would be cool to find out more about Audrey Hepburn. So, I checked out this New York Times Bestselling book about her life.
3.) A Pack of Sour Patch Kids (It's my life! lol)
What can I say?! An addiction, maybe?. I make frequent trips to Walmart to pick up some packs of this stuff. When will this stop?
4.) Library Bookmark Promoting The Ogden Museum of Southern Art for the University of New Orleans.
I'm an art fiend, yo! I'm so happy to have come across this bookmark from the library because I will be a regular to this museum of Art. Yes, they will know my name.

My Random Thoughts

8:34:00 PM KB 0 Comments

When someone tells me "NO!", do I sit & cry about it. NO! Because No! is the motivation that is apart of the steering wheel of my life.

Over the last 6 months, all the drama & disappointment that I've had to experience has made me somewhat TOUGHER. People (especially in my life) are always telling me that "I can't do this" & "You should do this" or "No, do things this way".... blah blah blah.

Puppetry (being a puppet) is something that I'm really not too fond of and never have.

(I think that's where my 1st semester roommate messed up at. She thought I would be the follower or worshiper of her. lol. Uh, No! And I did tell her about herself for that. That's probably why she said "I hate you, Kiarra".) childish eh.?! (*sidenote*I did absolutely nothing to her but be nice to her for those 5 entire months.)

Anyways. For some reason, certain people (won't say who) have been having the upper hand and the major say-so in my life for going on as long as...just too damn long... I think that it is about that time that I retaliate. No, not with violence or anything. (I'm too scary & nice for that). lol.

I won't rebel but I'm thinking that I might retaliate with so much self-confidence & determination for every single thing that they are going to not know that what the hell is going on with me. On this journey, I'm going to continue to let them know how things are going to be whether they like it or not because enough is enough. And I don't care anymore.

Anyways #2. Since people have had the upper hand in my life for the past few months, my life on scale of 1 to 10 has declined from #10 to #4. This decline has occurred all in a matter of 5-6 months. I'm officially tired of it. 2009 (yes, '09) is the first time EVER in my life that I've allowed other people to determine the outcome for something so major & for something that means to much to me.
A couple weeks ago, my friend & I were having a conversation & she asked a question about a huge decision that was made in my life & about what exactly happened. I told her that the decision that was so obviously drastic that was made was absolutely not my fault or decision. And also that I'm just rolling with this to make other people happy.

MyComment about that it is now stupid in my mind, yo. And now as I'm typing this, *I'm thinking*, how can I make someone else happy by doing 'what they want' & I'm not happy with it. I'm supposed to be the one happy with my own life. Now I don't understand. idk.
The light bulb is officially lighting up in my head...
And if anyone wants to blame anyone for how motivated I am,
Blame it on "Rev. Run",
for sending me those wonderful "Words of Wisdom" every morning at 8am to my phone's email and giving me some type of inspiration & motivation to start my day.

And today's W.O.W. said!

Good Morning! A life without cause is a life without effect!

A Hopeless Romantic?

12:41:00 AM KB 0 Comments

Could I be a hopeless romantic? Um. Maybe. I think so. lol. Could the next person be a hopeless romantic? Many people seem to define this idea & don't know the actually meaning. Well, I felt as though I had to be the person to find some sort of definition that would clarify the meaning of being a "HOPELESS ROMANTIC". And, with the definition or two that I've picked, they explain what I could not clearly explain. But it is somewhat, some sort of the way as I would have put it... (I type too much, just as much as I talk too much. lol) Anyways. It's close enough.

The #1 definition for "hopeless romantic" according to http://urbandictionary.com/...

This person is in love with love. They believe in fairy tales and love. They're not to be confused as stalkers or creepy because that's not what a hopeless romantic is. All hopeless romantics are are idealists, the sentimental dreamers, the imaginative and the fanciful when you get to know them. They often live with rose colored glasses on. They make love look like an art form with all the romantic things they do for their special someone.

"Angie is a hopeless romantic, she's always writing beautiful love poems to her boyfriend Mike."

"Jack is such a hopeless romantic, he's always bringing flowers and doing the sweetest things for his wife."

The #2 definition for "hopeless romantic" according to http://urbandictionary.com...

A hopeless romantic is not the same as a hopeless flirter. A hopeless romantic dreams of who they will spend the rest of their life with and what the two of them will do together. They want to be romanced with sweet simple things and the thoughtful amazing surprises. They dream of being loved but also loving somebody. They don't just want somebody to hold them. they also want to hold someone. They realize that love isn't just about one person but both people. they are hopelessly in love with being loved AND loving back.

The Creative Style Of...Tracee Ellis Ross

10:03:00 PM KB 1 Comments

Who: Tracee Ellis Ross

Age: 36

B-Place: Los Angeles, California

Occupation: Actress

Known for: Playing the role of Joan Clayton on the CW's sitcom "Girlfriends" (2000-2008).
Little known facts: She graduated from Brown University & worked in the fashion industry before becoming an actress.

Tracee Ellis Ross has a totally flawless sense of style. She has a style that is more of a sophisticated and a "I got it all together" look. Which is a look that young ladies like myself hope to soon achieve once we actually do get it together in life.
Tracee has somewhat of the same personal x flawless style that her character Joan Clayton had on 'Girlfriends'. (*Sidenote*:::'Girlfriends' is my favorite tv show.)

The '09 R3m!x3d Version Of Destiny's Child?

9:05:00 PM KB 1 Comments

Question.
Could Rich Girl be the '09 remixed version of Destiny's Child?
Idk.
But, you can see that the girls are good. I came to ask the question because there are thousands of comments from viewers on RichGirl's youtube account saying that this is the new Destiny's Child mixed with maybe even EnVogue. Now, Idk about that but um...! lol. These 4 girls need to work a lil harder to get to be like my favorites DC3 x EnVogue. Well, let me just say that homegirl that sings lead on their 1st single "He Ain't Wit Me Now (Tho)", she does sound like Beyonce a bit x she even resembles Beyonce in this video. I can see why people are saying this about the group. Anyways, their sound is dope. So, I really do think I would be able to listen to them regularly when their album drops.

My Fav. Fav. Song Of The Moment is...

2:20:00 AM KB 3 Comments

...a song by Jamie Foxx & Marsha Ambrosius called "Freak'in Me".

Damn! How much do I love this freak'in song. Jamie Foxx's album "Intuition" has been out for some time now & I've had it for a while but I've never really paid much attention to it until some weeks ago. The reason...probably because I'm so freaking tired of "Blame It". It used to be dope but now...I just hope they retire this song forever.
Anyways.
For some reason, I've been heavily addicted to this "Freak'in Me" song. Literally. The other songs are good but yo...I'm so in love with it. The title is obviously a freaky title. But yo, if you're a lover of music as I am, then you'll absolutely appreciate the complete melody x sound of the song. And can I just say that Marsha Ambrosius has always been x will always be on my favorites list. So, you know this sh*t is hella dope if she's on it. Then with Jamie Foxx. SUPA DUPA. This song is hella sexy...
I feel as though this song has had to have done some sort of goodness for some people in their lives. lol. idk. But for me, I'm just enjoying the song in my iPod. lol.
